Binagadi

About the district

Binagadi lies in the north-west of the Absheron Peninsula, about 10 km from the city centre. Its administrative centre is the M.A. Rasulzade settlement, and the district includes the settlements of Biladjari, Binagadi, Khojasan, Rasulzade and 28 May, plus the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th microdistricts and the Darnagul estate. Azadliq Prospekti and Darnagul stations on the Green line and Khojasan on the Purple line serve its residential areas. Darnagul

Darnagul is a residential estate in Binagadi district in the north-west of the city, next to the 6th–9th microdistricts. Darnagul station, opened in 2011, is the Green line terminus, and the centre is a direct ride away via Azadliq Prospekti, Nasimi and Memar Ajami. A new metro depot is under construction nearby. Alongside Soviet-era high-rises, many new residential complexes have been built in recent years, with schools, kindergartens and everyday shops close by. Bilajari

Biladjari (Biləcəri) is a large settlement and municipality in Binagadi district, and the municipality also includes Sulutapa. Located at the western entrance to the city, it is historically known as a railway junction, with a depot and station, and it sits close to the main roads heading west. Housing is mostly private houses, low-rise buildings and residential complexes built in recent years. The centre is reached by bus or car, and the nearest metro stations are in Binagadi's residential estates. Biladjari suits families seeking a more affordable house with a yard or a flat relatively close to the centre, as well as people working in logistics and transport. Infrastructure and road issues on some streets and the proximity of the railway and industrial sites are worth keeping in mind.
